Letter: Corporations ruining Las Vegas with their greed

I'm glad that it backfired on them. They had better realize that they no longer have "the only game in town" and that you can't take advantage of the public forever. The public can control the prices if they refuse to pay the outrageously high prices.
Before the corporations moved in and the so-called mob ran the hotels and casinos, their formula was to give the people nice rooms, good food and drinks, and good entertainment -- all for a cheap price.
And if they kept the place full of bodies, x-number of them would gamble and they would make their money in the casino. The formula worked.
The losers in the casino left with a feeling that they at least got something for their money and kept coming back.
