Las Vegas lighting firm sold

Lighting manufacturer Simkar Corp. of Philadelphia acquired Las Vegas-based Kalco Lighting. Terms weren't disclosed.
Kalco's assembly and distribution plant, at 6355 S. Windy Street, employs approximately 125 people. Simkar Chief Executive Officer Bill Eagle said that as a result of the purchase, Kalco President Harry Kallick becomes a shareholder in the new company; Kallick will also continue to serve as Kalco president.
In addition to the Las Vegas operation, Simkar also acquired Kalco's Philippine operations.
