Sens. Harry Reid and Richard Bryan, both D-Nev., said the funds will help Nevada highways keep pace with the state's rapid growth.
"These funds will improve the quality of Nevada's highways and byways by offering safer, faster and more accessible transportation throughout the state," said Reid, a member of the Transportation Appropriations Subcommittee.
The funds will be available for construction and improvement in three categories, with $3 million going to public lands highways, $4 million to interstate maintenance and $366,880 to scenic byways.
