UNLV head football coach John Robinson announced Monday that he has hired 39-year-old Craig Wederquist as his new defensive line coach.
Wederquist replaces Jeff McInerney, who resigned two weeks ago to become defensive coordinator and assistant head coach for longtime friend Keith Burns at Tulsa.
Wederquist spent the last three years as head coach of Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas. Before that, he spent two years as defensive coordinator at the University of the Pacific before the Tigers dropped football in 1995.
"He is a highly qualified coach who has extensive experience on the Division I level," Robinson said of Wederquist.
