Five of the vehicles were county-owned and used by personnel in the Washoe County District Attorney's Office, while the other vehicle was privately owned.
District Attorney Richard Gammick said the vehicles will require new paint jobs because the "paint stripper" poured on them removed a lot of paint. The vehicles also may require window repairs.
Gammick said evidence left at the scene is being examined and an investigation is under way. The parking lot is near the courthouse in downtown Reno.
