Full-time job: Works in horticultural department at Caesars Palace.
Family: Wife Terrie, son Michael, son Erica
Contribution to prep sports: Knell has been responsible for the official scoreboard clock for the last three Rebook Holiday Prep Classic tournaments. Like Gallant, he worked 32 games during the 1999 event, eight per day, and all four title contests. "You get to see a lot of good basketball, but by the time the eight game comes you're a little tired and by the fourth day, you're ready for a break," said Knell, who has worked at Caesars Palace hotel-casino for the past 23 years.
