Frida Barco, 88, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 22, 1911, in Berlin, Germany. A resident for 20 years, she was a retired seamstress.

She is survived by one son, Aldo Barco of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.

Gary S. Blake

Gary S. Blake, 54, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 23, 1945, in Hillsborough, N.C. A resident for 43 years, he was a hotel waiter.

He is survived by his mother, Hazel C. Blake, and one cousin, Gary Combs, both of Las Vegas.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

William H. Bluestein

William H. Bluestein, 82, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local health care center. He was born July 18, 1917, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for five years, he was a retired real estate broker and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Avis; one daughter, Judy Gross of Henderson; one son, David Bluestein of Ridgefield, Conn.; one brother, Bernard Bluestein of Boca Raton, Fla.; and four grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Virginia Mae Brinkley, 63, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. A certified nursing assistant, she was born Jan. 2, 1937, in West Virginia.

She is survived by two sons, Rodney Brinkley and John Brinkley, and one daughter, Janice Hill, all of Las Vegas; one brother, Robert Rose of Virginia; five sisters, Gertrude Nave of Florida, Geraldine Stillman, Trudy Day and Shelby Woolridge, all of West Virginia, and Barbara Rhodes of South Carolina; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday in Bunkers Chapel. Burial will follow in Eden Vale Memorial Park.

John H. Burns

John H. Burns, 76, of Las Vegas died Dec. 29 in Las Vegas. He was born July 21, 1923, in Jackson, Miss. A resident for 36 years, he was a retired hotel worker and an Army veteran.

He is survived by two sons, Jerry Burns of Newellton, La., and George Burns of Las Vegas; one daughter, Beverly Howard, one stepdaughter, Mildred Baltimore, one stepson, Melvin Hawkins Jr., one sister, Jessie Lee Windom, and two brothers, Willie Burns and Percy Burns, all of Las Vegas; 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Services were scheduled at 1 p.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will be in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Natalie Denise Calleros, 2, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born March 5, 1997, in Las Vegas.

She is survived by her parents, Art and Maria Calleros, one brother, Art Javier Calleros Jr., and her grandparents, Rafael and Josefina Calleros and Elena Saavedra, all of Las Vegas.

Rogelio Carlos Cassol Sr., 53, of North Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born May 14, 1946, in Rosario, Argentina. A resident for four years, he was a jeweler.

He is survived by one daughter, Moiselle Matthews of North Las Vegas; two sons, Rogelio C. Cassol Jr. of Klamath Falls, Ore., and Antonio A. Cassol of North Las Vegas; his special friend, Angela of North Las Vegas; one sister, Lucia Cassol, and two nephews, all of Rosario; and one grandchild.

She is survived by her husband, Norman A.; one daughter, Carol Jones of Las Vegas; one brother, James Lavin of Somers, Mont.; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Pat; one daughter, Francine Carver of Las Vegas; two sons, Christopher Conte of Henderson and P.J. Conte of Las Vegas; one sister, Jean Russo of Terryville, N.Y.; one brother, Phil Sciacca of Las Vegas; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Robert Edward Douglas, 78, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born May 16, 1921, in Akron, Ohio. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired stone mason and a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Vella; and one daughter, Sandra Manassum of Las Vegas.

Harold R. English, 85, of Henderson died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born June 10, 1914, in Kansas City, Mo. A resident for 53 years, he was a retired lathe operator for Timet.

He is survived by one daughter, Marla English of Bakersfield, Calif.; four sons, Harold R. English Jr., Gary L. English, Ronald R. English and David W. English, all of Henderson; one sister, Helen Alves of Lone Pine, Calif.; 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Charleen M. Gensler, 68, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 25, 1931, in Santa Monica, Calif. A resident for 22 years, she was a retired clerk for Nevada Power Co.

She is survived by four daughters, Linda Collie of Vancouver, Wash., Teresa Gensler and Gloria Knapp, both of Temple City, Calif., and Gwyn Gensler of Las Vegas; two sons, Robert Gensler of Las Vegas and Lee Gensler of Compton, Calif.; one sister, Gloria Smyth of Wilton, Calif.; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Mildred Harriet Haeussler, 85, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 17, 1914, in Des Moines, Iowa. A resident for 14 years, she was a retired legal secretary in the entertainment industry.

She is survived by her husband, Irvin E.; two sons, Steven Haeussler of Los Angeles and Timothy Haeussler of Las Vegas; three daughters, Susan Haeussler of Los Angeles, Nancy Tarin of Las Vegas and Linda Kirby of Kansas; three sisters, Rusty, Dorothy and Betty; and nine grandchildren.

Joseph Elliott Lopardo, 49, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 16, 1950, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 11 years, he was a senior fire prevention inspector for the Las Vegas Fire Department, a member of the Las Vegas Fire Department Union and International Association of Firefighters and was the founder of Pulmonary Alveoli Protenosis.

He is survived by his wife, Stephanie; two daughters, Nicole Lopardo and Tiffany Lopardo, and one son, Brian Lopoardo, all of Las Vegas; and one sister, Connie Kenny of New Jersey.

Nelda Lee Lynam, 63, of Las Vegas died Dec. 29 in Las Vegas. She was born June 25, 1936, in London, Ark. A resident for four years, she was an office manager for A to Z Environmental Services and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Unit 1744 Ladies Auxiliary in San Bernardino, Calif.

She is survived by her husband, James V. Lynam Sr. of Rialto, Calif.; two sisters, La Donna Bowley of London and Patty Price of Santa Monica, Calif.; three daughters, Melinda Breyette of Rialto, Brenda Lynam of Highland, Calif., and Erin Martinez of Tucson, Ariz.; four sons, Gary Lynam of San Bernadino, Calif., William Lester "Les" Blackburn of Hesperia, Calif., James Lynam Jr. of Telluride, Colo., and Daniel Lynam of Elizabeth City, N.C.; her niece and nephew, Debbie and Lynn Meadows of Las Vegas; 23 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Harry Clifton Masterson Jr., 72, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 14, 1927, in Missouri. A resident for 20 years, he was an electrician at the Dunes, an Army and Marine Corps veteran and a member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and Operating Engineers.

He is survived by his wife, Anna; one daughter, Darlene Dealy of California; three brothers, Joe, Bill and Roy; three sisters, Kitty, Barbara and Carol; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

She is survived by her husband, Dennis; three sons, David Smith of Norfolk, Va., and Bill McLemore and Patrick McLemore, both of Las Vegas; two sisters, Mary Aldridge of Lone Grove, Okla., and Roddie Baden of Brian Head, Utah; and one grandchild.

Paul Michael, 78, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 31, 1921, in Detroit. A resident for 12 years, he was an employee of Stroh's Brewery in Michigan and a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by one son, Dan Michael of Belleville, Mich.; one daughter, Lorraine Boahbedason of Canton, Mich.; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A resident for 50 years, he was a retired owner-operator of Addressing and Mailing Inc. in Las Vegas for 34 years, a World War II Air Force veteran, a member of Civil Air Patrol, Charles T. Kandel Post of the Jewish War Veterans, Elks Lodge 1468 and the Host Lions Club.

He is survived by one daughter, Barbara Tarr of Las Vegas; two grandsons, John Harrison of Austria and Joshua Harrison of California; and three great-grandchildren.

Kenneth Lee Taylor Sr., 57, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 9, 1942, in Augusta, Ga. A resident for 40 years, he was a truck driver for a wholesale food distributor and a member of Teamsters Local 14.

He is survived by two daughters, Donna Taylor of Las Vegas and Rhonda Shelor of North Carolina; one son, Kenneth Taylor Jr., and his mother and stepfather, Margaret and Wally Romero, all of Las Vegas; one brother, Richard Taylor of Covington, Va.; and two sisters, Patricia Atkins of Abraham, W.Va., and Janet Willie of Las Vegas.

She is survived by her husband, James; one son, Roderick Thompson of Las Vegas; one brother, Gene Liebentritt of Crawford, Neb.; three grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

A graveside memorial service will be 2:45 p.m. Friday in Paradise Memorial Gardens. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Dennis M. Van Tilburg

Dennis M. Van Tilburg, 34, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 29, 1965, in Pittsburgh, Pa. A resident for 27 years, he was a carpet layer.

He is survived by two sons, Denny Van Tilburg and Dean Van Tilburg, both of Redding, Pa.; his companion, Jill Gilbert, his parents, Jeanne and Thomas Van Tilburg, and one sister, Tammy Craigmyle, all of Las Vegas; one brother, Thomas Van Tilburg Jr.; three nephews and two nieces.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Palm Chapel, Cheyenne.

Edward Joseph Turner Sr.

Edward Joseph Turner Sr., 84, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 25, 1915, in Chicago. A resident for 15 years, he was truck driver, a member of the Polka Boosters Club and an usher for Guardian Angel Cathedral.

Visitation is scheduled 4-8 p.m. Friday in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. A rosary will be 5:30 p.m. Friday in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.
