Letter: Reader tired of nonmeat advocate

Besides being a People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals activist, what is her claim to fame as a diet guru? Her last tirade in the Dec. 30 Sun lists her "awesome research results." "My diet, my diet, my diet" as she starts three paragraphs is just more of the same PETA rhetoric we've been hearing for years.
In her last paragraph she states, "My resolution for the new millennium is simple but oh so powerful: a wholesome, nonviolent diet of grains, veggies, etc." To make a resolution at New Year's to me means you are changing habits you've been doing in hopes of improving yourself. Does that mean poor Debbie has been eating all those terrible turkeys, meats, fish etc. all year? But please -- don't answer that, we really don't care. Her new resolution should be, "to each his own."
