Nineteen-year-old DeeAndree Hulett scored a season-high 30 points in his first start and J.R. Henderson added 30 of his own to lead the Las Vegas Silver Bandits (7-10) to a 115-112 overtime victory over the Trenton Shooting Stars (8-9) in New Jersey Tuesday night.
The IBL's leading rebounder, Rocky Walls, grabbed a season-high 22 rebounds and scored 14 points for Las Vegas. It was his league-leading 11th double-double.
Isaac Burton had 23 points including two key free throws in overtime to give the Silver Bandits the lead for good.
"That is what the team is all about," said player/coach Mark Wade. "We've got guys who do things well and DeeAndre has been waiting for this opportunity."
Trenton's Ray Tutt scored a game-high 39 points, going 16-of-22 from the field and adding five 3-pointers. Recently acquired Lloyd Daniels recorded 22 points.
The win is the fourth in a row for Las Vegas and the team's sixth in its last nine games. The Silver Bandits lead the league in road wins with six.
* Henderson was named the IBL's Player of the Week for the second time in three weeks. The former Vancouver Grizzly is the league's second-leading scorer at 24.3 ppg.
