Reno Arch site of reunion for two

Thirty-seven years later, the two kept their promise by meeting Friday night under the Reno Arch in the downtown casino area. The others didn't.
"People kept saying, 'Oh, you're wasting your time. No one will show up," said Robinson, a Reno native who lives in Quartz Hill, Calif.
"If there was anyone who actually would show up, Larry would be the only one."
The two, who were both airmen first class at Edwards Air Force Base in California when the pact was made, brought up the promise during a 1980 reunion.
They shared stories of their days during and after their military service at lunch on New Year's Day.
