The Metro Police narcotics officer who shot a man last week after an undercover drug buy in the parking lot of the Fiesta hotel-casino was identified this morning as Jeffrey Vialard.

Vialard fired three shoots as he was drug alongside a minivan driven by Broyles after three Metro officers tried to arrest Broyles and two other suspects in the parking lot.

When the Metro officers attempted to arrests the three in the minivan, one of the passengers picked up a shotgun from the floor of the minivan. As Vialard attempted to pull the man out of the minivan, Broyles is accused of driving off.
