Television special looks at Venetian

The Discovery Channel is offering an intimate look at the $1.5 billion Venetian resort on the Strip as part of its "On the Inside" series.

The program is scheduled to air tonight at 8 p.m. on cable channel 25 and be repeated Sunday.

The "On the Inside" series has previously profiled operations aboard Air Force One, an aircraft carrier and other complex facilities.

Venetian spokesman Kurt Ouchida said two Discovery Channel film crews spent two weeks at the resort in August recording day-to-day operations of various departments and covering the transition between two large conventions.
