Continental P.E.T. Technologies plans to open its Henderson packaging and bottle plant next month.
The company paid $10 million for the 300,000-square-foot industrial building that was formerly occupied by Big O Tires.
The new plant will initially employ 76 people and manufacture packaging for the food and beverage industry, including plastic bottles for Ocean Spray Cranberries, which also has a Henderson plant.
Burnett Haase Construction said it won the $2.2 million contract to convert the former Big O distribution center into its new manufacturing use.
Continental P.E.T. is a division of Toledo, Ohio-based Owens-Illinois Inc.
