PAHRUMP -- Las Vegas-based E.A. Collins Development plans to build a 225-room hotel-casino in the Pahrump Valley. The project is to be built adjacent to the Mountain Falls Resort Community currently being built by Collins.
The company said it entered an alliance with the ETT-Terrible Herbst Casino Group to develop the new hotel-casino.
However, Herbst' general counsel Sean Higgins said his company hasn't set a timeframe for construction of the Pahrump project, and will instead focus on completing redevelopment of the defunct Continental hotel-casino in Las Vegas.
Higgins said Herbst expects to reopen the Continental by August.
The proposed development would be Herbst's third hotel-casino in the Pahrump area. Herbst is currently the owner and operator of two other Pahrump-based properties, the Terrible's Town and Terrible's Lakeside hotel-casinos.
