John A. Anderson
John A. Anderson, 87, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local care center. He was born Jan. 18, 1913, in Norway. A resident for 12 years, he was a captain in the Merchant Marines, a World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War Navy veteran, a member of the Navy League, Master Mason Pilots Association and American Merchant Marine Veterans High Roller Chapter.
He is survived by his wife, Dolores; one son, John M. Andersen of Washington state; one daughter, Karen A. Andersen of Florida; and three grandchildren.
Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd., is handling private arrangements.
Frances Paola Bongiorno
Frances Paola Bongiorno, 64, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 22, 1935, in Italy. A resident for eight years, she was a retired beautician, seamstress and waitress.
She is survived by her husband, John L.; two sons, Mario Bongiorno and John Bongiorno, both of Chicago; her mother, Rosa Russo Alesi, and one sister, Lucy David, both of Glendale, N.Y.; and five grandchildren.
A memorial service was 10 a.m. today in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., handled arrangements.
The family suggests donations to the Alzheimer's Disease Association, Chicago, IL 60611.
Hazel E. Catrone
Hazel E. Catrone, 92, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 4, 1908, in Philadelphia. A resident for 42 years, she was a homemaker.
Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Thursday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Additional visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 11 a.m. services Friday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.
Scott M. Hamm
Scott M. Hamm, 41, of North Las Vegas died Saturday in North Las Vegas. He was born July 9, 1958, in Williamsport, Pa. A resident for 40 years, he was a plumber.
He is survived by one brother, Andrew J. Hamm III, and one sister, Denise Mulcahy, both of Las Vegas.
Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Harold V. Kunzer
Harold V. Kunzer, 76, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local care center. A porter at the Imperial Palace and a World War II Army veteran, he was born May 31, 1923, in Chicago.
He is survived by his wife, Pricsilla; two stepdaughters, Marie Voelker of Las Vegas and Eva Molnar of Buffalo, N.Y.; and one sister, Lillian Kunzer of Lake Havasu, Ariz.
Visitation is scheduled 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. services Tuesday in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Burial will be private.
Gladys L. Morel
Gladys L. Morel, 81, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 18, 1918, in Gladewater, Ark. A resident for 29 years, she was a retired health spa manager.
She is survived by her husband, Victor; one son, Michael Ullon of Las Vegas; one daughter, Laska Rupp of Paradise, Calif.; one sister, Dorothy Verdugo of Laguna Beach, Calif.; and three grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Paradise Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 4575 S. Sandhill Road. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.
Jason C. Muterspaw
Jason C. Muterspaw, 28, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 28, 1971, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was a director of golf services at a hotel, a member of the Zae Fraternity, U.S. Tennis Association and PGA Golf Association.
He is survived by his parents, Jim and Darlene Muterspaw of Las Vegas; and his grandmother, Helen West of Dayton, Ohio.
Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling pending arrangements.
Leola Jane O'Leary
Leola Jane O'Leary, 73, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 25, 1926, in Fairland, Okla. A resident for 44 years, she was a clerk for Metro Police.
She is survived by one daughter, Seanean DeFoor, and one son, Sean O'Leary, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Opal Terry of Sparks; and six grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 11 a.m. services Tuesday in First Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 301 S. Maryland Parkway. Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Beatrice A. Partridge
Beatrice A. Partridge, 92, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 25, 1907, in Canada. A resident for eight years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one son, Valden Maidens of Las Vegas; one sister, Wilma Herron of Florida; and one granddaughter.
Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Anna M. Steiner
Anna M. Steiner, 90, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. She was born May 1, 1909, in Pittsburgh. A resident for 40 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one son, Edward Steiner of Las Vegas; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The memorial service date is pending. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.
