Councilmen to host town hall meeting
Las Vegas Councilmen Michael McDonald and Lawrence Weekly will host a youth town hall meeting 6-8 p.m. today at Western High School, 4601 W. Bonanza Road.
The councilmen, both graduates of Western High, say the meeting is a response to a large number of phone calls they have received over recent drive-by shootings in their wards.
The program called "Tearing Down the Walls of Silence: Youth Speak out Against Violence" will include representatives from Metro Police's Northwest Area Command, Metro's Gang Unit and the Clark County School District Police.
