The North Las Vegas Rotary Club has awarded grants totalling $8,130 to nine elementary schools throughout the Las Vegas Valley.
The grants, which were made possible through various Rotary Club fund-raisers and member donations, were awarded to 30 teachers and will be used toward cultural, reading and tutorial projects.
The awards were presented to these elementary schools: Fay Herron, Gwendolyn Wooley, Jo Mackey, Kermit Booker, Kit Carson, Lee Antonello, Louis Craig, Marion Cahlan, and Raul Elizondo.
