SUN STAFF AND WIRE REPORTS
Thirty-seven Nevadans in the last six months of 1999 sent President Clinton money to help pay legal bills, according to a recent report. Among them: a saleswoman, lawyers, a nurse, bookkeeper, psychiatrist and musician.
"I'm a big fan of what he did for the country and for the economy," Boulder City artist Lynne Jordan said. "And I like him as a person. I think what was done to him was atrocious and vindictive."
Jordan said Republicans and independent counsel Kenneth Starr unfairly attacked Clinton. Jordan responded to a mailing sent to homes across America asking for support. She sent $10.
None of the Nevadans, including 22 from Las Vegas, sent more than $100; most sent $25 or less.
