School Board charged with zoning new campuses

The Clark County School Board will decide school attendance zones for the 2000-2001 school year during a special meeting Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at the Education Center board room, 2832 Flamingo Road.
Attendance zones for eight new elementary schools and two new middle schools along with changes to relieve overcrowding in other schools will be established by the School Board.
Recommended changes are being made by the Attendance Zone Advisory Commission, a School Board-appointed group that annually reviews school enrollments and attendance zones. The commission's recommendations are the result of a five-month review process, along with more than a dozen public input meetings.
