Family: Daughter Diana.
Contribution to prep sports: Sahagun, a former prep reporter for both the Sun and Review-Journal, stays involved in high school athletics as a member of the Southern Nevada Officials Association. He serves as a scoreboard operator and official scorer for boys and girls basketball games in the winter, and also serves as a line judge for girls volleyball matches in the fall. "I like being part of it," Sahagun said. "It's something that will always be a part of me." When he's not working at a prep event, Sahagun is a senior technical editor for OAO, a private corporation that supports the Environmental Protection Agency.
