Friday, Feb. 18, 2000 | 11:09 a.m.

A survey conducted by New York based Integra Realty Resources identified Las Vegas as one of the top ten markets for real estate investment in 2000.

In its Viewpoints 2000 survey, the company ranks Las Vegas seventh in the commercial business district office sector and tenth in the retail market. The survey examined 50 of the top real estate markets nationwide.

In last year's IRR survey, Las Vegas was tenth in the CBD office sector and fourth in the retail market.

Shelli Lowe, IRR's managing director in Las Vegas, said the local signs remain positive for another strong year.

"Strong performance in the tourism, retail and manufacturing sectors indicates continued growth," she said. "The (Las Vegas) retail market has only a 3.9 percent vacancy factor."

IRR listed California's Orange County as the best CBD office market for investment, with Orlando, Fla., topping the list for best retail markets.
