RENO -- Political activist Sam Dehne says Reno Mayor Jeff Griffin got off too easy with a public reprimand from the state Ethics Commission for failing to fully reveal his business ties during discussions about the Reno Tahoe International Airport.
The commission Thursday agreed in close session to reprimand Griffin but found no evidence to justify a full hearing that the mayor had misled or lied to the commission in a previous hearing.
After the hearing Thursday, the mayor said the issue is closed. The commission, he said, found there was not sufficient cause to go forward.
