GIRLS BASKETBALL
Silverado 53, Rancho 31:
Jayme Connors scored 17 points and Nikki Hitchens added 12 as the Skyhawks rolled into the semifinals. Silverado led 30-17 at halftime, then went on a 16-2 run in the third quarter.
Eldorado 47, Basic 36:
Markee Daniel tallied 16 points and Sheena Harvey scored 11 to help the Sundevils advance to Friday's semifinals, where they will meet Silverado.
Las Vegas 86, Vo-Tech 36:
Jasmere Kirby poured in 29 points to spearhead the Wildcats' first-round victory. Melissa Cejas and Erin Swenson each scored 12 points for Las Vegas, while Antrece Williams chipped in 16 points for the Road Runners in the losing cause.
Centennial 78, Western 34:
The Bulldogs improved to 28-0, as four players finished in double scoring figures: Rachael Schein with 21, Darci Sandoval with 20, Jenna Palmer with 13 and Tenecia Jackson with 12.
Bishop Gorman 57, Palo Verde 35:
The Gaels broke open a close contest with a 26-2 run in the second half, including a 15-0 string early in the third quarter. Gorman's Breona Gray finished with a game-high 20 points, while Jenae Sonne wound up with 11 for the Panthers.
Cimarron-Memorial 44, Bonanza 39:
Nikki Richards scored 14 points to help the Spartans into the Sunset semifinals. Serrita Coleman scored a game-high 15 points for the Bengals in the losing cause.
