Southwest Ambulance talks get go-ahead

The North Las Vegas City Council has voted to begin talks with Southwest Ambulance company to provide service in the city.
American Medical Response already serves the city and council members agreed to begin negotiating on how Southwest might compete with AMR.
The city of Las Vegas recently agreed to allow Southwest to compete with AMR on non-emergency calls.
