Thursday, Feb. 17, 2000 | 4:35 a.m.

Davis Gaming Boonville Inc. will sell the land to Isle of Capri for a planned casino consisting of approximately 900 slot machines and 30 table games in 28,000 square feet of gaming space.

The casino would be located in Boonville, Mo., just three miles north of Interstate 70 between Kansas City and St. Louis.

Isle of Capri agreed Feb. 8 to buy the Flamingo Hilton Riverboat Casino for $33.5 million.

"The City of Boonville and its residents will be very proud of what we develop here," said Bernard Goldstein, chairman of the board and chief executive officer for Isle of Capri.

"In conjunction with our recently announced agreement to purchase the Kansas City Flamingo Hilton Casino and a possible St. Louis casino entertainment complex, today's Boonville project announcement underscores our desire to become Missouri's premier gaming entertainment company."

Isle of Capri owns and operates seven riverboat, dockside and land-based casinos, including locations in Tunica, Biloxi and Vicksburg, two locations in Louisiana, and one in Colorado.

The company also operates a harness racing track in Pompano Beach, Fla., and the Enchanted Capri cruise ship that sails out of New Orleans.
