A former senior vice president of marketing, sales and retail banking at Community Bank was appointed Business Bank of Nevada's president and chief executive officer.
John Guedry replaces Al Alvarez, who is believed to have left the company this week. The bank declined to comment on why his employment ended.
Alvarez could not be reached for comment.
The 62-person staff bank has three offices in Las Vegas and one in Carson City, which opened last December. The bank plans to open additional branches in Northern Nevada within the next two years and is considering Green Valley as a potential market area.
The bank reported assets of $118.7 million for the third quarter ended Sep. 30, compared with $112 million in the same period in 1998.
