Construction accident victims win millions

A jury has awarded members of two Las Vegas families $4.52 million for injuries they suffered in a 1994 accident in a construction zone.
The jury deliberated less than one day following a two-week trial.
Attorney Richard Harris said Sue Beveridge was driving north on Gibson Road with passenger Tamara Sullivan. Each had three children with them.
Harris said a flagger at a construction site waved her car into an intersection where Desert Construction employees were installing traffic signals. The Beveridge vehicle was struck by a 17-ton tow truck.
The eight people in the car all suffered injuries in the crash.
