City hands cemetery business to private company

Las Vegas officials say it will save taxpayers at least $500,000 a year if the city gets out of the cemetery business.
The city is expected to approve a contract Wednesday with Carriage Services Inc. to operate and maintain Woodlawn Cemetery, a city-owned facility that includes a section for pauper graves.
