DETROIT -- A 37-year-old woman from Romulus was charged with robbing two banks on her way to gamble at a Detroit casino, the FBI said.
Kimberly Ann Carter was charged with robbing two Standard Federal Bank branches, one in Southgate on Jan. 27 and one in Taylor Jan. 31.
She told investigators she took the money and headed to the MotorCity Casino, the FBI said.
Wayne County Magistrate Donald Scheer released Carter on a personal bond and told her not to enter any gambling establishment or leave the Detroit area. She could face up to 20 years in prison if convicted.
