Olive W. Barough, 87, of Las Vegas died Jan. 22 in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 7, 1912, in Waupaca, Wis. A resident for 26 years, she was a retired medical office secretary, an officer in the American Association of Retired Persons and a member of American Association of Medical Assistants.
She is survived by one sister; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was scheduled at 2 p.m. today at Olive's home. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., handled arrangements.

Louie Bernacchio
Louie Bernacchio, 60, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 11, 1939, in Queens, N.Y. A resident for 10 years, he was an airline fleet service clerk.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn; two daughters, Evelyn Estes and Rachael Bernacchio, both of Las Vegas; and four grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled noon-7 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Thursday with 6 p.m. services Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.
Jewel Bevans
Jewel Bevans, 81, of Elk Grove, Calif., died Thursday in Elk Grove. She was born May 18, 1918, in Westville, Okla. A former Las Vegas resident for 40 years, she was a retired hotel food and beverage saleswoman.
She is survived by one sister of Coffeeville, Kan.; four grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were scheduled at 11 a.m. today in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., handled arrangements.
Hector Jesus Castaneda
Hector Jesus Castaneda, 70, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born July 1, 1929, in Lima, Peru. A resident for 30 years, he was a retired hotel porter and a member of the Culinary Union.
He is survived by his wife, Elise; one son, Hector Castaneda, and one brother, Jose Castaneda, both of Lima.
Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Graveside services will follow in Palm Memorial Park.
Theresa Mary Colucci
Theresa Mary Colucci, 84, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born June 24, 1915, in Chicago. A resident for 12 years, she was a supervisor for a manufacturing firm.
She is survived by one son, Joseph Colucci of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Anthony A. Croce, 63, of Las Vegas died Nov. 29 in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 7, 1936, in Massachusetts. A resident for 30 years, he was a contractor.
He is survived by one daughter, Toni Marie of Las Vegas; and one brother, Mike Croce of Arizona.

Jacqueline A. Culotta, 65, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born April 19, 1934, in Pittsburgh. A resident for 23 years, she was a retired hotel room reservation assistant.
She is survived by two sons, Barry Culotta and Michael Culotta, both of Las Vegas.

Jeanette K. Denison, 82, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 2, 1917, in North Dakota. A resident for 50 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by two sons, Don of Henderson and Darryl of Pahrump; two daughters, Debbie Dieters and Darla Denison, both of Las Vegas; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Ned Dowiot, 71, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 2, 1928, in South Dakota. A resident for seven years, she was a substance abuse counselor.
She is survived by one son, Luther Dowiot; two daughters, Lauren Fletcher and Cheryl Dewiot-Hyden; one brother, John Peterson; one sister, Audrey Taylor; and two grandchildren.

Chris Gala, 78, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 17, 1921, in the Philippines. A resident for three years, he was an electrical engineer for the national power company in the Philippines.
He is survived by his wife, Susie; one son, Francis G. Gala of San Diego; one daughter, Lucy G. Camba of Glendale, Calif.; four sisters, Gliceria Gala, Pilar Gala and Eugenia Gala, all of Los Angeles, and Emillia Gala of the Philippines; and three grandchildren.
Services were scheduled at 10 a.m. today in Guardian Angel Cathedral. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.
Assunta DeRiso Guida
Assunta DeRiso Guida, 91, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born June 20, 1908, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 11 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by two daughters, Teresa DeRiso of Las Vegas and Mary Vulpis of New York; two sons, Jay DeRiso of Las Vegas and Frank DeRiso of New York; one sister, Sister Virgina of Kearney, N.J.; 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today with a 6 p.m. service in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Viator Catholic Church, 2461 E. Flamingo Road. Burial will be 10 a.m. in Wednesday Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Samuel Gruzin, 79, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 25, 1921, in Baltimore. A resident for 28 years, he was a concert violinist, a World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War Air Force veteran and a member of Musicians Local 369.
He is survived by his wife, Sylvia; one daughter, Linda Gruzin, and one son, David Gruzin, both of Las Vegas; and one sister, Irene Zablin of Philadelphia.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Loretta A. Inscore, 61, of Henderson died Sunday in Henderson. She was born Feb. 6, 1939, in Houston. A resident for two years, she was a bookkeeper.
She is survived by two daughters, Denise Gourley of Henderson and Terra Bauer of Colorado Springs, Colo.; three brothers, Douglas Nash of Livingston, Texas, and Ronald Nash and Richard Nash, both of Houston; and two grandchildren.

She is survived by her parents, Samantha and Jeremy Johnson, and two brothers, Elijah and Micah Johnson, all of Las Vegas; her grandparents, Don and Sharon Finger of Las Vegas; and her great-grandparents, Louie and Shirley Finger of Maryville, Tenn.

Harvey R. Jonas, 69, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 2, 1930, in Wisconsin. A resident for 13 years, he was a chemical company owner.
He is survived by his wife, Gladys; four sons, Steven Jonas of Eugene, Ore., Thomas Jonas of Palm Springs, Fla., Wade Jonas of Sturgeon Bay, Wis., and Mel Jonas of Luxemburg, Wis.; one brother, Glenn Jonas of Cedarburg, Wis.; two sisters, Irene Vertz and Ruby Graf, both of Sturgeon Bay; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Simona K. Kandt, 56, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 1, 1943, in the Philippines. A resident for nine years, she was a civil service secretary.
She is survived by her husband, Mark; one son, Charles Kandt of Las Vegas; three brothers, Cruz Cuizon of Oak Harbor, Wash., Lapulapu Cuizon of Vallejo, Calif., and Servando Kuizon of Ypsilanti, Mich.; four sisters, Melquiadesa Brillantes and Filipina Cuizon, both of the Philippines, Olympia Schenecker of Napa, Calif., and Sherry Oberst of Anacortes, Wash.; and three grandchildren.

She is survived by one daughter, Jacqueline Morgan of Las Vegas; and one brother, Barnard Knowles of England.

Rebecca Lynn Landis, 59, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 7, 1941, in Indiana. A resident for two years, she was a child-care worker and a member of St. Jude's.
She is survived by two sons, Patrick Key and James Key; one brother, Rose Landis; and four grandchildren.

Man Suk Lee, 81, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 5, 1918, in Masan, Korea. A resident for 17 years, he was a retired writer.
He is survived by his wife, Kyung In; four daughters, Hye Kyung Lee of Seoul, Korea, and Somin Blum, Chong S. Armando and Hye Ja Chao, all of Las Vegas; one son, Jong Sung Lee of Las Vegas; and nine grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara; two daughters, Veronica Ferguson of Gary, Ind., and Cynthia Lewis of Chicago; one sister, Gloria Motley of Gary; and three grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; two daughters, Margaret R. Thomson of Austin, Texas, and Mary E. Lidey of Las Vegas; two sons, Walter G. Lindsey of Ware, Mass., and Thomas K. Lindsey of El Segundo, Calif.; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Eddie J. Lyons, 45, of Henderson died Saturday in Henderson. He was born March 14, 1954. A resident for several years, he was a Navy chief.
He is survived by his wife, Julie; two daughters, Amber Lyons of Henderson and Jonnie Jo Moore of Theodore, Ala.; two sons, Lanis Lyons of Idaho and Melvin J. Lyons II of Fernandina Beach, Fla.; one stepson, Jack E. She is survived by one daughter, Barbara A. Bowers of Vancouver; one brother, Robert L. Foster of Moreno Valley, Calif.; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He is survived by two sons, Greg L. Sutton and Jim L. Sutton; one daughter, Nan L. Sutton; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She is survived by one daughter, Janie McDaniel, one son, James McDaniel, and her companion, Ron Campbell, all of Las Vegas; her father, Foley Pendley, and one brother, Rudy Pendley, both of Kentucky; and six grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Elena Zavala of Yuma, Ariz.; four daughters, Maria, Elizabeth, Adriana and Angelica, and one son, Gabriel, all of Arizona; and two grandchildren.
