J.P. Morgan takes a stake in slot company

New York investment firm J.P. Morgan & Co. reported a 5.36 percent stake in Anchor Gaming Inc. of Las Vegas.
In documents filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission today, J.P. Morgan reported ownership of 642,750 shares of Anchor stock. It was the first such filing by the New York firm.
SEC rules require shareholders to file such reports when their ownership exceeds 5 percent. No indication was given on how many shares were initially owned by J.P. Morgan.
