Two LV firms win awards
Two Las Vegas companies were among the big winners at the National Association of Home Builders National Sales & Marketing Awards in Dallas last month.
Christopher Homes' Vineyards residential development, located near Summerlin Town Center and Hualapai Way, received the gold award for "Best Community In The Nation."
Top prize for best television commercial was awarded to the Lake Las Vegas Resort development.
More than 970 entries were considered during the competition, which was co-sponsored by the NAHB and Builder Magazine.
Suit filed over rehab devices
Ortho Rehab Designs of Las Vegas sued Valley Hospital Medical Center and its sister hospital Summerlin Hospital Medical Center, alleging they breached an agreement to retain Ortho Rehab as their exclusive provider of braces, prosthetic limbs and crutches.
Valley officials declined comment.
