The latest winner was an Asian woman in town for the Chinese New Year celebrations. She hit a $7,671,788 payout about 6:30 a.m. at the MGM Grand hotel-casino.
The woman who won the jackpot asked to remain anonymous, said Connie Fox, a spokeswoman for International Gaming Technology.
Last week, Cynthia Jay hit the biggest jackpot ever, a $34,955,489 payout at the Desert Inn hotel-casino.
That payout had been building for more than seven months, while the latest jackpot took only nine days to hit.
Megabucks is a linked jackpot system in 153 Nevada casinos. It is reset at $7 million after it is hit, then grows progressively as more people play it.
The jackpot requires a play of three $1 coins to win.
