A Las Vegas Internet applications provider sued two former sales agents, alleging they misappropriated and used its trade secrets, sales strategies, vendor and client lists to get hired by competitor PurchasePro.com.
In a Clark County District Court suit, Stockup.com Inc. said its business has declined since the departure of agents Michael Bump and Gloria Stonecipher and alleged PurchasePro.com had contacted Stockup.com's employees and spread negative information about Stockup.com.
The suit said both Bump and Stonecipher, who were hired by Stockup.com in April to sell its Internet product applications and get billboard and banner advertisements, allegedly violated their employment contracts by joining PurchasePro.com within two years of their departure.
Stockup.com is seeking an injunction against the defendants, neither of whom could be reached for comment.
