A 7-year-old boy was in critical condition Thursday following a head-on collision that killed his grandparents.
Police said the family was in a Volkswagen Jetta traveling southbound on a city street when a northbound Jeep Wrangler being driven by Cy Van Norman collided head-on with their vehicle Wednesday night.
Charles O'Laughlin, 75, and Vaun O'Laughlin, 64, of Las Vegas were dead at the scene.
Their grandson, Charles O'Laughlin III, of Phoenix was taken to University Medical Center in critical condition.
Police believe Van Norman, 34, of Las Vegas had been drinking. He was in fair condition at UMC with moderate injuries.
The accident is still under investigation.
