Aladdin Gaming LLC and TrizecHahn Development Corp. said today the $1.3 billion Strip megaresort will open Aug. 17.
Aladdin Gaming is building the resort's 2,600-room hotel, 100,000-square-foot casino and 7,000-seat Theater for the Performing Arts, while TrizecHahn is developing the 500,000-square-foot Desert Passage shopping and dining area.
The resort, themed after the tale of 1,001 Arabian Nights, is being built on a 34-acre site on the east side of the Strip, just south of Paris Las Vegas and across the street from Bellagio.
