Enjoy New Year’s Eve, Vegas style
Friday, Dec. 29, 2000 | 9:55 a.m.
So, what did you do last New Year's Eve?
If you were one of those wracked with Y2K worries, probably very little.
And, because of that, you missed out on some terrific parties and outstanding entertainment -- staples of Las Vegas' annual New Year's Eve festivities.
You're out of excuses this year, though: There will be no millennium computer bugs to be frightened by; no predicted power outages to ponder; no frenzies for bottled water. Just expect the standard amount of holiday chaos.
But don't let that stop you from partaking in any of the slew of entertainment options being offered around the valley Sunday (and, in some cases, into the wee hours Monday).
The following is a roundup of scheduled New Year's Eve bashes and shows -- featuring special holiday festivities, foods and libations -- and fireworks displays. For a complete listing of area headliners and production and lounge shows, see the Sun's Showguide and Out & About on pages 2E and 3E.
