Durango wins first tournament test

Frank Brown scored 20 points and teammate Martrel Johnson added 19 to pace Durango High to a 101-74 victory over Granada Hills, Calif., in the opening round of the Las Vegas Prep Championship at Las Vegas High Tuesday.
In other first-round games involving local teams, Peninsula, Calif., downed Green Valley 58-53, Crossroads, Calif., trimmed Silverado 59-50 and Reno's Bishop Manogue topped Cimarron-Memorial 68-63.
The tournament runs through Friday.
