An ongoing aerial-art gallery, sponsored by the city of Las Vegas, is on display on banner poles along Las Vegas Boulevard, between Fremont Street and Charleston Boulevard.

About AIDS

A variety of black-and-white AIDS-themed illustrations from the collection of Becky Trotter will be on display through Jan. 5 at the Sahara West Library, 9600 W. Sahara Ave. Call 228-3321.

Scarry's stuff

"Busytown," an interactive exhibit for children based on books by Richard Scarry, is on display through Jan. 7 at Lied Discovery Children's Museum, 833 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Admission is $5 for adults; $4 for children ages 2-17, seniors and the military. Call 382-3445.

Nevada artists

Beyond borders

Chien exhibit

Russian art

"American and Russian Nonconformist Art," designed to mark the 25th anniversary of the "Bulldozer Exhibition" staged in 1974 by Russian nonconformist artists whose art show was bulldozed by Moscow authorities, is on display through Feb. 16 at UNLV's Marjorie Barrick Museum. Call 895-3381.

Big top

Desert pottery
