Motorcycle-themed slot planned by IGT
Friday, Dec. 22, 2000 | 10:49 a.m.
International Game Technology of Reno announced Thursday it signed a five-year licensing contract with Harley-Davidson Motor Co., the only major motorcycle manufacturer based in the United States.
IGT said it plans to use the Harley-Davidson name and logos to develop a new slot machine. Machines in both video and spinning reel formats will incorporate the Harley-Davidson bar and shield emblem, motorcycle engine audio and various motorcycle parts.
IGT said the slot line may incorporate giveaways of Harley-Davidson merchandise.
The deal is the latest in a string of licensing deals announced in the past year by IGT.
