Editorial: Bush will restore dignity to office

I am ashamed to be a Democrat because of the Clintonian methods used during this election, i.e., the filing of a multitude of lawsuits so that if one did not work the next might; trying to eliminate the mail ballots; registering illegals and felons; and last but not least, divining the "intent of the voter" by dimples and pregnant and hanging chads, thereby giving Al Gore more votes.
Every ballot was counted, not only once, but indeed twice or more. Many of these were no votes or double votes so they could not count. The people who wished to vote did, and did so with some thought.
I voted for George W. Bush because I cannot stand the thought of more Clinton tactics in the White House. He is a better communicator with more personality. The people he surrounds himself with have a great deal of good sense and he will restore dignity to the White House. Laura Bush is a first-class lady and will be a credit to the country as the first lady.
The press could do a great deal toward uniting the country by focusing on the positive instead of the doomsday attitude it projects.
