Software company to relocate to Las Vegas

Vanguard Integrity Professionals is relocating its corporate headquarters to Las Vegas from Orange, Calif.
Vanguard, a developer of information security software since 1986, will be headquartered at 2950 E. Flamingo Road.
Vanguard's corporate management will join its federal systems subsidiary already based in Las Vegas and the company will maintain a research and development laboratory in its Orange facility. The company also has a research lab in Victoria, British Columbia, and plans to announce a new subsidiary in the United Kingdom to support business in Europe and South Africa.
A spokesman said that while the initial move won't involve many people, the company is looking to expand in Las Vegas in 2001. Specific details were not disclosed.
Tom Cowart said about five administrators would be relocating to Las Vegas, joining three others already based here.
"Due to our dramatic growth through both expansion and acquisitions, we've simply outgrown our existing headquarters in California," said Vanguard Chairman and Chief Technology Officer Ronn Bailey.
Bailey also cited a favorable business climate in Las Vegas and lower housing costs for employees.
