Lawrence P. Baldy
Lawrence P. Baldy, 60, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born April 2, 1940, in New York City. A resident for 11 years, he owned Spas Unlimited.
He is survived by his wife, Dianna; one daughter, Toni Kay Cheney of Seattle; three sons, Steven Cheney, Michael Cheney and Jason Baldy, all of Las Vegas; his mother, Mildred Baldy of Naples, Fla.; one brother, Ronald Baldy of Connecticut; one sister, Ginny Ogden of New York; and three grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m. until noon services Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.
The family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society, 1325 E. Harmon Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89119.
Evelyn Ballard
Evelyn Ballard, 92, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local care center. She was born Feb. 29, 1908, in Louisville, Ky. A resident for nine years, she was a retired florist.
She is survived by one daughter, Helen Norris of Las Vegas; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Barbara I. Balmer
Barbara I. Balmer, 74, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 13, 1926, in Los Angeles. A resident for 53 years, she was a retired hospital payroll manager.
She is survived by one daughter, Carol Vier of Las Vegas; two sons, Mark Balmer of Las Vegas and Stephen Balmer of Salt Lake City; two brothers, James Anderson of Henderson and Ralph Anderson of Oakland, Calif.; and five grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled noon-2:30 p.m. Thursday with services following at 3 p.m. in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

William Beckett
William Beckett, 79, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 19, 1921, in Cleveland. A resident for 17 years, he was a retired newspaper engraver, a World War II Army veteran, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion Post 304.
He is survived by four daughters, Bonnie Cade of Hamilton, Ohio, Becky Saltrick and Belinda Kasday, both of Hudson, Ohio, and Heidi Robey of Parma Heights, Ohio; one son, Rob Symes of Santa Rosa, Calif.; one brother, Harry Beckett of Brunswick, Ohio; and 12 grandchildren.

Paul H. Brennan
Paul H. Brennan, 73, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born May 2, 1927, in Providence, R.I. A resident for three years, he was a retired corporate security director for an insurance company.
He is survived by his wife, Joan; three sons, Chris Brennan of Las Vegas and Brian Brennan and Mark Brennan, both of Henderson; one daughter, Maura Goggin, and one sister, Mary Elizabeth Weidenborner, both of Rochester, N.Y.; and five grandchildren.

Harry Cherroff
Harry Cherroff, 89, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born March 19, 1911, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for eight years, he was a retired manager in the transportation industry, a World War II Army and Navy veteran and a member of the Masons.
He is survived by one son, Steven Cherroff of Fort Collins, Colo.; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.
Robert L. Feely
Robert L. Feely, 19, of North Las Vegas died Saturday in North Las Vegas. He was born May 23, 1981, in Las Vegas. He was a busboy.
He is survived by his mother, Beatrice Leo of North Las Vegas; his stepfather, Phil Leo of Las Vegas; and one sister, Marielle Leo of North Las Vegas.

Lois Harrison
Lois Harrison, 67, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 20, 1933, in Pawnee, Okla. A resident for 11 years, she was a retired heavy equipment operator for a mining company.
She is survived by two daughters, Beverly Hoessner of Fallon and Barbara Adcock of Las Vegas; two sisters, Sue Waits of San Diego and Joy Schmid of Graham, Wash.; and one grandchild.

Fred 'Muckie' Jackson Jr.
Fred "Muckie" Jackson Jr., 55, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born April 26, 1945, in Newellton, La. A resident for 45 years, he was a laborer in the construction industry.
He is survived by his wife, Yvonne; three daughters, Monica Porter, Nisha Taylor and Trinisha Taylor, all of Las Vegas; his mother, Nora Davis of Newellton; four brothers, Roosevelt Jackson, Roosevelt Harper, Leroy Jackson and George Jackson, all of Las Vegas; three sisters, Elizabeth Jackson of Los Angeles, Linda of Las Vegas and Barbara Jackson of Baton Rouge, La.; and six grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 2-8 p.m. Tuesday in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Davis Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling arrangements.

Lawrence V. Nelson, 80, of Henderson died Saturday in Henderson. He was born March 27, 1920, in Greeley, Colo. A resident for 15 years, he was a retired equipment operator for a landscaping firm and a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Edythe B.; one son, Larry Nelson of Henderson; two sisters, Helen Keyes and Vera Risk, both of Greeley; and two brothers, Earl Nelson and LaVerne Nelson, both of Eaton, Colo.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.

Sue 'Sofia' Parker
Sue "Sofia" Parker, 75, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born July 13, 1925, in Boston. A resident for 31 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one daughter, Sue Somers, and two sons, John Somaduroff and Nick Somers, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Teddy Gould of Corning, Calif.; one brother, Bill Voulgaris of Cotati, Calif.; and two grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 2 p.m. until a 6 p.m. trisagion service Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church, 5300 S. El Camino Road. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Evelyn M. Rawley
Evelyn M. Rawley, 75, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 18, 1924, in Brewster, Wash. A resident for six months, she was a retired licensed practical nurse.
She is survived by one daughter, Carol Schultz of Las Vegas; four sisters, Ruth Nelson of Okanogan, Wash., Marian McVay of Yakima, Wash., Jeannette Morrow of Everett, Wash., and Katherine Morrow; one brother, Rex Sines; and four grandchildren.

Joseph G. Russell, 56, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 22, 1944, in Idaho. A resident for 14 years, he was a security officer at the Luxor, a miner, a Vietnam War Marine Corps veteran, a member of the Teamsters and miners' unions.
He is survived by his wife, Donna; one son, Kenny; one daughter, Shelley; her mother, Viola Russell of Roberts, Idaho; four sisters, Rayola Russell and Cheryl Thorpe, both of Roberts; Merline Civen of Santa Paula, Calif., and Jackie Hopkins of Las Vegas; and 10 grandchildren.
No local services are scheduled. Services will be in Idaho. Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Charlotte E. Strasser
Charlotte E. Strasser, 80, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born May 29, 1920, in Chicago. A resident for eight years, she was a retired drapery store manager.
She is survived by one son, Stephen Strasser of Las Vegas; one daughter, Stephanie Strasser of Glendale, Calif.; and two grandchildren.

Patricia S. Thompson
Patricia S. Thompson, 57, of North Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born July 15, 1943, in Baltimore. A resident for four years, she was a retired administrative assistant for a correctional facility and an Army veteran.
She is survived by one daughter, Cheryl Robinson-Hill of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two sons, Rodney Lavell Robinson and Gary Robinson, both of Norman, Okla.; and three grandchildren.

Thelma Tucey
Thelma Tucey, 81, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born April 19, 1922, in South Dakota. A resident for 36 years, she was a bookkeeper.
She is survived by one brother, Boyd Grotte of Montana.
