Letter: Next four years brought to you by Nader backers
Saturday, Dec. 16, 2000 | 12:36 p.m.
Knowing full well that an independent candidate could never be elected president this year, by voting for their egomaniacal idol they have actually made this election so close that we will have to accept George W. Bush as president of the United States!
Bush is a known anti-environmentalist, a heavy supporter of big oil companies and a big-time gun enthusiast. Aren't these the exact issues Nader speaks against?
Bush is merely a puppet of Daddy Bush and his dad's cronies, leftovers from his presidency -- Dick Cheney, Colin Powell, Jim Baker and company. "Been there, done that!" He was so bad we made him a one-term president, the worst humiliation a president can suffer. Now he's getting even by foisting "W" on the American people.
So thanks a whole bunch, Nader fans, and, as Bette Davis would say, "Fasten your seatbelts -- we're all in for a miserable bumpy ride!"
