Lois Berg

Lois Berg, 81, of Henderson, died Tuesday in a local care center. She was born June 3, 1919, in St. Paul, Minn.

She is survived by one daughter, Bonnie Carlton of Pacoima, Calif.; two sons, William Berg Sr., and Michael Berg, both of Henderson; two sisters, Petra Lutton and Carol Mary Aloyett, and one brother, Hall Rasmussen, all of St. Paul; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 9:30 a.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.

Jack Byrd

Jack Byrd, 67, of North Las Vegas died Sunday in North Las Vegas. He was born June 11, 1933, in Chickasha, Okla. A resident for 38 years, he was a retired construction supervisor in the telephone industry, a Navy veteran, a member of Quasaa Club and Prop Nuts.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia; one daughter, Brenda Gavin of Nobelton, Fla.; three sons, Lloyd Byrd, Gary Byrd and Dennis Byrd, all of Las Vegas; his mother, Carmelina Byrd of Boulder City; two sisters, Mary Bedford of Rialto, Calif., and Eva Corlis of Boulder City; two brothers, Jerry Byrd of Camarillo, Calif., and Leon Byrd of San Diego; and nine grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled noon-7 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 1 p.m. Sunday in Palm Chapel, Cheyenne. Graveside services will be private.

Frank V. Comastro

Frank V. Comastro, 81, of Henderson died Monday in a local hospital. He was born April 15, 1919, in Chicago. A resident for 18 years, he was a retired welder of statue designs.

He is survived by three sons, Ron Comastro and Vince Comastro, both of Henderson, and Joseph Comastro of Boulder City; and four grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday in Guardian Angel Cathedral, 302 Cathedral Way. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Mariann Wattenbarger Deal

Mariann Wattenbarger Deal, 58, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 12, 1942, in Long Beach, Calif. A lifelong resident, she was a retired Eldorado High School hall monitor known as "Tiny."

She is survived by her husband, Bill; one daughter, Kelly Bonne of Las Vegas; and one grandson.

Visitation is scheduled 3:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. services Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.

Alexander Drazba

Alexander Drazba, 83, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born March 31, 1917, in Pennsylvania. A resident for many years, he was a musician.

He is survived by one cousin, Mildred Basalay of Kultmont, Pa.

Graveside services will be 9 a.m. Thursday in Woodlawn Cemetery. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Robert J. Earley

Robert J. Earley, 78, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 14, 1922, in O'Neill, Neb. A resident for 11 years, he was a retired airline pilot and a World War II and Korean War Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia; three daughters, Kerry Earley Moreo and Mary Earley, both of Las Vegas, and Peggy Earley Jakes of Montgomery, Ala.; one brother, James F. Earley of O'Neill; and four grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Monday in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Harold O. Freeman

Harold O. Freeman, 68, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 13, 1932, in Bluffdale, Utah. A resident for 40 years, he was a retired city government maintenance person and an Army veteran.

He is survived by one daughter, Debra Dear of Austin, Texas; one son, Stephen Freeman of Kearns, Utah; one sister, Vauna Petersen of St. George, Utah; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Jeanette Galbraith

Jeanette Galbraith, 81, of Las Vegas died Monday in Henderson. She was born July 8, 1919. A winter resident for 20 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Donald; one daughter, Donna Paquette of Las Vegas; one son, Garry Galbraith of Bloomington, Ill., and David Galbraith of Brentwood, Tenn.; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Valley Memorial Crematory, 4855 W. Desert Inn Road, is handling private arrangements.

Shawn Glover

Shawn Glover, 29, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 21, 1971, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was a hospital internal maintenance worker.

He is survived by his wife, Adrian; three sons, Shawn Jr., Byron and Teon, and his mother, Patricia Richardson, all of Las Vegas; four brothers, Lamar Richardson, Kippy Glover and Chasnick Richardson, all of Las Vegas, and Mark Weatherspoon.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Harrison-Ross Mortuaries, 2071 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Second Baptist Church, 500 W. Madison Ave. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Andrew 'Drew' Hayter

Andrew "Drew" Hayter, 38, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 10, 1962, in England. A resident for seven years, he was a dealer at the Venetian.

He is survived by his mother, Maureen Hayter, and one brother, Terence Geoffrey, both of England.

Visitation is scheduled noon until 2:30 p.m. services Friday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.

Rosa M. Ibarra

Rosa M. Ibarra, 36, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born March 11, 1964, in El Paso, Texas. A resident for 12 years, she was a medical secretary.

She is survived by her husband, Manuel; one son, Justin Lee Rhodes; two daughters, Crystal Alvarez and Aracelia Elizabeth Ibarra; two brothers, Francesco Torres and Rafael Rubio; one sister, Anabela Rascon; and two grandchildren.

Krystal Lano

Krystal Lano, 16, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 21, 1984, in San Jose, Calif. A resident for six years, she was a student at Silverado High School.

She is survived by her mother, Anja Fischer, her father, George Haldeman, and one sister, Tiffani Carpenter, all of Las Vegas; and her grandparents, Barbara and Deiter Fischer of Grass Valley, Calif.

Visitation is scheduled 90 minutes prior to 11:30 a.m. services Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Theodore Coburn Nelson

Theodore Coburn Nelson, 79, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born April 12, 1921, in Boston. A resident for 20 years, he was an executive director of sales at the Las Vegas Hilton, a World War II veteran and a member of Hotel Sales Management Association.

He is survived by his wife, Eileen; one son, Mark Nelson of St. George, Utah; one daughter, Donna Dyess of San Diego; one stepson, Gary McChain of Phoenix; and three grandchildren.

Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling private arrangements.

Loyal Berniece Parker

Loyal Berniece Parker, 74, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 21, 1925, in Joplin, Mo. A resident for three months, she was a retired underwriter in the insurance industry and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by her husband, Edgar; one son, Dan Parker; one daughter, Charlotte Foust; one sister, Helen Readshaw; and three grandchildren.

Neptune Society of Nevada, 8570 Del Webb Blvd., is arranging private services.

Matilda K. Pobuta

Matilda K. Pobuta, 80, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Henderson. She was born Jan. 25, 1920, in Mahoney City, Pa. A resident for six years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Andrea Kisman of Las Vegas.

Lawrence Rostine

Lawrence Rostine, 78, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 11, 1922, in Lexington, Mo. A resident for 58 years, he was a retired maintenance supervisor for a chemical company and a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Irene B.; one daughter, Gayla Sloan of Kansas City, Kan.; his mother, Della May Rostine, and one sister, Betty Looney, both of Albuquerque, N.M.; one brother, George Rostine of Alexandria, Va.; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Henderson. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Henderson.

Albert M. Rumley III

Albert M. Rumley III, 67, of Las Vegas died Dec. 5 in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 3, 1933, in California. A resident for 62 years, she was self-employed in the real estate industry.

She is survived by one son, Albert M. Rumley IV of Texas; one daughter, Karrie J. Porter of Utah; and five grandchildren.

Clifford Smith

Clifford Smith, 78, of Las Vegas died Dec. 7 in Las Vegas. He was born June 21, 1922, in New Jersey. A resident for 38 years, he was a bartender and a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by two sons, Brandon and Blake, both of Las Vegas.

Carmen Vallejo-Morales

Carmen Vallejo-Morales, 50, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born July 1, 1950, in Mexico. A resident for two years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Feliciano Rodriguez; two sons, Javier Rodriguez and Benjamin Rodriguez, two daughters, Horalia Rodriguez and Jeeny Rodriguez, four brothers, Daniel Vallejo, Miguel Vallejo, Abel Vallejo and Sergio Vallejo, all of Las Vegas; three sisters, Clementina Vallejo of Las Vegas and Flora Vallejo and Yolanda Vallejo, both of Mexico; and four grandchildren.

Visitation was scheduled 3 p.m. with a 6 p.m. rosary today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday in St. Christopher's Catholic Church, 1840 N. Bruce St. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

James Wingate

James Wingate, 65, of Las Vegas died Nov. 13 in a local hospice. He was born Feb. 19, 1935, in Cave in Rock, Ill. A resident for eight years, he was an insurance agent/broker for 25 years and an Army veteran who was in the military police.

He is survived by two sons, Eric J. Wingate of Las Vegas and Doug Scott of Arizona; two daughters, Teri Brossier of Hawaii and Tami Knott of Arizona; his mother, Agnes Wingate of Illinois; one sister, Karen Wireman of Indiana; and five grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in the Church at Las Vegas, 3388 S. Decatur Blvd. Valley Memorial Crematory, 4855 W. Desert Inn Road, is handling arrangements.
