Karen Jean Batemon
Karen Jean Batemon, 42, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 31, 1958, in Newark, N.J. A resident for more than 25 years, she was a cook.
She is survived by one daughter, Tina Myles, her father, Richard Fernandes, her mother, Doris Snider, three brothers, Richard J. Fernandes, James R. Fernandes and Steven D. Hagle, and one sister, Tina M. Smith, all of Las Vegas; and four grandchildren.
Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
James M. Butler
James M. Butler, 41, of Brigham City, Utah, died Saturday in Utah. He was born Nov. 29, 1959, in Fordyce, Ark. A former resident of Las Vegas, he was a bellman.
He is survived by two sisters, Thelma Penister and Barbara Crain, both of Kingslane, Ark.; and one brother, Arthur Butler of Las Vegas.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 1 p.m. services Saturday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North.
Carrie C. Carno
Carrie C. Carno, 90, of Henderson died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born March 22, 1910, in Morgan City, La. A resident for 10 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one son, Richard Carno of Pahrump; one daughter, Terri Anderson of Henderson; three brothers, Bernardo Dragna of Henderson and Henry Dragna and Carl Dragna, both of Las Vegas; four sisters, Lucille Ivie of Alhambra, Calif., Mandy Scarkino of Montana and Mary Caruso and Jesse Meli, both of California; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services were scheduled at 2 p.m. today in St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church. Burial will be Wednesday in Montebello, Calif. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, handled arrangements.
Gayle Lee Castle
Gayle Lee Castle, 69, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born March 26, 1931, in Dayton, Ohio. A resident for three years, he was a business consultant and a Korean War Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Joy; two sons, Keith Castle of Las Vegas and Eric Castle of Cupertino, Calif.; one brother, Lowell of the Philippines; three sisters, Joyce Nicholson of Kansas, Pam Radasanu of Florida and Beverly Dillon of Oregon; and one grandchild.
Graveside services will be 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.
Gilbert B. Coskey
Gilbert B. Coskey, 77, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born May 19, 1923, in Los Angeles. A resident for 47 years, he was a retired tourism salesman and a World War II Air Force veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara; two sons, Jack Coskey and Michael Coskey, two daughters, Michelle Mayorga and Kimberly Coskey, and two brothers, Melvin Coskey and Sidney Coskey, all of Las Vegas; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to the Nathan Adelson Hospice, 4141 S. Swenson St., Las Vegas, NV 89119.
Charles Danzinger
Charles Danzinger, 82, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 12, 1918, in Evergreen Park, Ill. A resident for 50 years, he was a retired ironworker and a member of Ironworkers Local 433, the Eagles, was a Boy Scouts adviser and was a deacon at College Park Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Edwina "Babe"; two daughters, Elaine Frankovich of Reno and Barbara Walschek of Las Vegas; one son, Tom Danzinger of Washoe Valley; one sister, Ann Wenker of El Cajon, Calif.; and six grandchildren.
Services were scheduled at 10 a.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., followed by graveside services in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Robert D. Gilmack Sr.
Robert D. Gilmack Sr., 67, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 30, 1933, in Chicago. A resident for 11 years, he was a retired dockhand for a trucking company and a retired member of Teamsters Local 710 in Chicago.
He is survived by his wife, Christine; one daughter, Laurene Novick of Las Vegas; one son, Robert D. Gilmack Jr. of Crown Point, Ind.; one brother, Norbert Gilmack of Chicago; and four grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.
Theodore 'Buddy' McCord
Theodore "Buddy" McCord, 62, of Hilo, Hawaii, died Dec. 5 in a Hawaii medical center. He was born in Paris, Ky. A former Las Vegas resident, he was a master mechanic.
He is survived by his wife, Louella "Leilani"; two sons, Leonard Seymour-McCord of Indiana and Teddy McCord of California; one daughter, McCord of California; one brother, Sonny McCord of Kentucky; three sisters, Libby Studebaker, Jessie Basham and Mabel Bailey, all of Indiana; and his grandchildren.
No local services are scheduled. Borthwick Hawaii Funeral Home, is handling arrangements.
Frances Minicucci
Frances Minicucci, 71, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 8, 1929, in Niagara Falls, N.Y. A resident for 24 years, she was a retired nurse/counselor for a treatment center.
She is survived by one daughter, Maryann Brickner, and one son, Ernest Minicucci, both of Las Vegas; two sisters, Gloria Piccoli of Fontana, Calif., and Eppie Juliano of San Bernardino, Calif.
Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today with a 5:30 p.m. prayer service in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 9 a.m. Wednesday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Ola Mae Moten
Ola Mae Moten, 75, of Las Vegas died Dec. 5 in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 8, 1925, in Tennessee. A resident for two years, she was a cook for a convalescent home.
She is survived by her husband, Johnny; one brother, Lonnie; and two grandchildren.

Jose R. Pacheco
Jose R. Pacheco, 77, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local care center. He was born March 19, 1923, in Mexico City. A resident for 44 years, he retired as a Tropicana showroom waiter after 33 years.
He is survived by three daughters, Gloria Cruz and Mary Raso, both of Las Vegas, and Theresa Guercio of Santa Monica, Calif.; one son, Hector Pacheco of Las Vegas; one sister, Clara Pacheco of Mexico City; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will follow at 2 p.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph, Husband of Mary Catholic Church, 7260 W. Sahara Ave. Burial will be in Palm Memorial Park.
Elsa Mendez Pereira
Elsa Mendez Pereira, 71, of Henderson died Saturday in Henderson. She was born July 20, 1929, in Guatemala. A resident for three years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by three daughters, Norma Goodwin of Henderson, Marie Ogaldez of New York City and Elsa Plano of North Bergen, N.J.; two sons, Edwin Ogaldez of Paducah, Ky., and Raul Ogaldez of West New York, N.J.; four sisters, Helma Fiss of New York City and Oralia Mendez, Aida Mendez and Orbelina Quiroa, both of Guatemala; two brothers, Rufino Mendez and Antonio Mendez, both of Guatemala; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Palm Chapel, Henderson. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Henderson.
Marylee Ronnow
Marylee Ronnow, 43, of North Las Vegas died Monday in North Las Vegas. Born May 12, 1957, in Butte, Mont., she was a floral designer.
She is survived by one daughter, Tina Marie Ronnow, three sons, Levi Ronnow, Joshua Ronnow and Joseph Ronnow, and her mother, Margaret Pennington, all of Las Vegas; two sisters, Cindy Bell and Debbie Berg, both of Highland, Utah; and one brother, Jimmy Bell of Amargosa Valley.
Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Wednesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will in Panaca Cemetery in Panaca.
Helen A. Scott
Helen A. Scott, 102, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born May 12, 1898, in Lenox, Iowa. A resident for 14 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by two daughters, Loretta Gotschall and Patricia Ward, both of Las Vegas; two sons, John Scott of Las Vegas and Richard Scott of Kimberling City, Mo.; 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was scheduled at 8 a.m. today in Christ the King Church, 4925 S. Torrey Pines Drive. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Irma Torres
Irma Torres, 70, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 8, 1930, in Lima, Peru. A resident for 10 years, she was a retired elementary school teacher and a member of Oblate Missions.
She is survived by three daughters, Herta Sanchez and Sylvia Dale, both of Las Vegas, and Maria Dumas of France; four sisters; two brothers; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. services Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Robert Louis Whann
Robert Louis Whann, 81, of Cedar City, Utah, died Monday in Cedar City. He was born Aug. 11, 1919, in Los Angeles. A former resident of Las Vegas from 1957 to 1974, he was a eucharistic minister and Lector for Christ the King Catholic Church, the architect of Christ the King Catholic Church and numerous churches in Las Vegas and a past president of the Kiwanis in Cedar City.
He is survived by his wife, June; one son, Denis of Los Angeles; two daughters, Susie Campiglia and Sheri Cole, both of Las Vegas; two stepdaughters, Judy Ann Poarch and Jolene Hughes, both of Gilbert, Ariz; one stepson, James Joseph Dandy of Arizona; one sister, Beverly DeWitt of Cambria, Calif.; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service is scheduled 2 p.m. Thursday at Christ the King Catholic Church. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be in Cedar City. Southern Utah Mortuary, 190 N. 300 West St., is handling arrangements.
Basil Willard Wilder
Basil Willard Wilder, 73, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born June 19, 1927, in Tennessee. A resident for 15 years, he was a retired Air Force veteran.
He is survived by two sons, Mark Wilder and Alex Wilder, both of Texas; one brother, Nathan R. Wilder of Ohio; one sister, Etta Lee of Tennessee; and three grandchildren.

L.A. Williams
L.A. Williams, 61, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 23, 1939, in Leland, Miss. A resident for 26 years, he was a retired veteran of the Air Force reserves.
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca; four sons, David Williams, Darrell Williams and Lee Williams, all of Las Vegas, and L.A. Williams Jr. of the Philippines; one brother, Theodore Williams of Detroit; one daughter, Sharon McGhee of Las Vegas; and 10 grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Contributions are suggested to the deceased's family.
Lois Williams
Lois Williams, 89, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born June 3, 1911, in Cairo, Ga. A resident for 13 years, she was retired.
She is survived by one daughter, Louise Martin of Las Vegas; one son, Roy Whidby of Bullhead City, Ariz.; nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and four great great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Good Samaritan Lutheran Church, 6500 W. Flamingo Road. Valley Memorial Crematory, 745 W. Sunset Road No. 16, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to the Travis Meadors Liver Transplant Fund.
Phyllis Yeoman
Phyllis Yeoman, 77, of Boulder City died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 20, 1923, in McDonough County, Ill. A resident for 36 years, she was a retired secretary for the school district and a member of the Order of Eastern Star.
She is survived by one daughter, Virginia Woolsey of Houston; two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren.
Services will be held in Avon, Ill. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson is handling arrangements.
