Vegas Internet site redesigned
Monday, Dec. 11, 2000 | 11:50 a.m.
Vegas.com, the Internet portal associated with the Sun, debuted a redesigned look this morning as well as technical improvements making the site faster to access and more reliable.
Bryan Allison, director of content, said the site is more colorful and easier to use. The home page was rearranged so that there are more links to stories and features to help plan trips to Vegas.
"We reorganized our existing features, added hundreds of new photos and we completely rewrote our entertainment search tools," Allison said. "We also added air, car, golf and vacation packages, so that people can not only research their trip to Vegas but make all of the reservations online."
Besides marketing travel services, Vegas.com offers information on entertainment, dining, shopping, gaming, transportation and real estate.
The site, owned by the Greenspun family, links to Greenspun publications including the Las Vegas Sun, Showbiz Weekly, Las Vegas Weekly, Las Vegas Life, In Business Las Vegas, Vegas Golfer and the Ralston Report.
The Sun continues to operate its website at lasvegassun.com.
