The American Gaming Association elected Thomas Gallagher, president and chief executive of Park Place Entertainment Corp., to a one-year term on its board of directors last week.
Gallagher will complete the term of former Park Place Chief Executive Arthur Goldberg, who died in October.
Three board members were re-elected to three-year terms -- International Game Technology Chairman Charles Mathewson, Harrah's Entertainment Inc. Chairman and Chief Executive Phil Satre, and Mandalay Resort Group President Glenn Schaeffer. Mathewson was re-elected to a one-year term as chairman of the AGA, while Satre was elected vice chairman of the organization.
