Donors can visit several locations
United Blood Services, 6930 W. Charleston Blvd., has scheduled blood drives at these locations for the coming week:
Tuesday -- 7 a.m.-1 p.m. at Cheyenne High School, 3200 W. Alexander Road, 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. at Bank of America Telephone Bank, 1351 Town Center Drive, and from 8:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at EPA, 944 Harmon Ave.
Wednesday -- 7 a.m.-2 p.m. at Valley High School, 2839 S. Burnham Ave.
Thursday -- 7:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Thursday at Nellis Air Force Base, Griffis Drive.
Saturday -- 7:30 a.m.-noon at Plumber and Pipe Fitters Union, 750 N. Lamb Blvd.; 11 a.m.-4 p.m.at Belz Factory Outlet World, 7400 Las Vegas Blvd. South; and 8:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.at LDS Pahrump First Ward, 921 E. Wilson Road.
Dec. 18 -- 8 a.m.-1 p.m. at Bechtel Nevada, 2621 Losee Road.

Annual concert set Wednesday at 6 p.m.
The sixth annual Shoes for Children holiday concert will begin 6 p.m. Wednesday at the West Las Vegas Library, 951 W. Lake Mead Blvd.
The celebration will feature comedian Lou Collins and excerpts from David F. Talbert's newest production. Admission is one new pair of children's shoes not gift wrapped, sizes 5-13 or 1-14.
Shoes will be distributed 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday at the West Las Vegas Library Theatre. Children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Volunteers are welcome. For more information, call 647-8169.
Saturday event is open to the public
A health fair sponsored by the James Seastrand Helping Hands of North Las Vegas and the Guadalupe Medical Center will be 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday at 1820 E. Lake Mead Blvd. to provide diabetes screenings and blood pressure checks.
The health fair is open to the public and will help low income individuals who are otherwise unable to afford preventative medical check-ups. For more information, call 649-7853.
The Clark County Fire Department
is holding a drive to help needy families during the Christmas season.Toys, clothes or nonperishable food for children are being collected at: all county fire stations; Tower of Tropicana, 6575 W. Tropicana Ave.; and UNIGLOBE Dazey Travel, 4511 W. Sahara Ave. For more information, call 455-7338.
