Golf will help start firefighter scholarship fund

Chiefs from all Southern Nevada fire departments are hosting a charity golf tournament at 7 a.m. Saturday at Boulder City Golf Course to establish a scholarship for Nevada students who plan careers in the fire services.
The four-person teams will compete for prizes including specially designed fire helmets.
The $70 donation includes 18 rounds of golf and lunch with the fire chiefs.
Anyone wishing to participate or for more information, call Assistant Chief Joseph Planck of the Clark County Fire Department at 455-7311.
